Umbrella's At It Again...

The residents of Racoon City have fallen prey to the deadly T-Virus, a chemical formula capable of turning a human being into the ultimate bio-weapon. The company responsible - a bio-weapons corporation known as Umbrella Inc. They were working on an upgrade called the G-Virus, that was until something went horribly wrong... After the T-Virus broke out, people began to turn helplessly into a zomie like state. Mutations occured in animals, insects and plants, and now all that remains is nothing but the nightmare that awaits for any unsuspectnig visitors. Such visitors included a rookie cop called Leon Kennedy, and a reporter named Claire Redfield - the sister of Chris Redfield from Resident Evil 1. In this nightmare, you play as either Claire or Leon. Your mission: to survive the horror that awaits within the city. You must survive the streets of Racoon City... and you must find out the sinister truth behind Umbrella.

 

 

What Do I Think...

I think that Resident Evil 2 has got to be my favourite game of all that's been released on the PlayStation. Eerie music, incredible rendering, frightning storyline and realistic backgrounds make this game an overall winner. It's not just a shoot-em-up zombie game either. There are plenty of puzzles one needs to solve in order to get past certain areas, as well as a variety of items which the player will need to collect also, such as keys for locked doors. Throughout the game, you will come across other suvivors who help you accomplish your mission. It's a shame that most of them die... the few there are anyway. There are plently of notes, diaries and even film (which need developing) that explain the plot in detail too. Of course, I could go on and on, but the best thing for you to do is to go buy it - or at least hire it for a few days. I highly recommend it and you won't be disappointed either. By the way, my favourite charatcers in RE2 are Claire Redfield and Hunk - the 4th Suvivor.

 

 

Hints Section

This isn't up yet, as I'm still compiling all my notes together. I won't write up a walkthrough as I strongly object to them. They ruin the gameplay and can cause all kinds of confusion. Hints are better I think... they help you along without spoiling the whole show.

Resident Evil 3: Nemesis

This is gonna be one very cool sequeal. I'm looking forward to it's release in November. But knowing the reputation New Zealand has for getting stuff LAST in the world..... <sigh>

I'll be submitting a page for it when I get my hands on a copy!
